Five Guys secures first city centre site in Edinburgh


American fast casual restaurant chain, Five Guys is to open on Frederick Street in Edinburgh.

This will be the brand's the first city centre offer in Edinburgh which currently has a restaurant in Fort Kinnaird out-of-town retail park.

Five Guys has agreed through Savills to a new 20-year lease on the 6,758 sq ft (628 sq m) unit, arranged over basement, ground and two upper floors, and will pay £200k per annum.

Gordon Nicolson, associate director in the retail team at Savills Scotland, commented, “Edinburgh continues to attract national food and drink operators who want a slice of the city’s successful tourist industry and leisure scene and this deal secures a prime location for the first Five Guys restaurant in the city centre.”
