Carluccio’s to open new gen restaurant & bar in York next week

Carluccio’s is set to open a new restaurant and bar on St Helen’s Square in York on 27 March.

Housed in the historical Terry’s Chocolate Shop and Tea Room, this new generation Carluccio’s offers a bar and restaurant spread over two floors, showcasing the very best of Antonio Carluccio’s homeland. The new site will be open for delicious breakfasts, lunches, cocktails, dinners and everything in between.

The full menu celebrates the simple joys of real Italian dining. Highlights include slow cooked duck pappardelle with pork, pancetta and mushrooms, as well as crab macaroni in a creamy cheese sauce. A collection of new hand-stretched, thin and crispy pizzas are topped with the best Italian ingredients including award-winning 18-month aged Parma ham.

Terry’s Bar on the ground floor, named in honour of the building’s confectionary history, is the perfect to spot in which to enjoy an apertivo, before dining or a digestive afterwards. A must-try is the new Chocolate Orange Negroni cocktail created exclusively for the people of York.

Carluccio’s packaged foods and gifts will be beautifully displayed in the original Terry’s confectionary cabinets. Diners can take home pesto, pasta, porcini, prosecco and preserves sitting alongside olive oils, balsamic vinegars, biscuits and chocolate, all made in Italy.
