Chef Clare Smyth has revealed plans to open her first restaurant Core by Clare Smyth in Notting Hill in July.
The former Head Chef at the flagship Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, will open the 54 cover fine dining restaurant on Kensington Park Road.
The restaurant will feature an open kitchen and an 18 cover cocktail bar and the focus will be a tasting menu which will feature 10 to 12 constantly changing dishes. There will also be over 400 fine wines and champagnes available from across the globe.
Smyth said, 'With it being my first solo venture and very close to my heart, it wasn’t easy deciding what to call the restaurant, but ‘Core’ seemed right; it’s a seed of something new, with strong ties to nature.'
She added, “ When you are brought up on a farm you understand from an early age just how good our ingredients are and how important it is to support local producers. As chefs, we have access to some of the finest native produce in the world here in Britain, and I want to continue to celebrate that in every menu.”
