BaxterStorey awarded contract extension with The Pirbright Institute

BaxterStorey has been awarded a prestigious contract extension with The Pirbright Institute near Woking. The new three year contract will see the hospitality provider offering fresh and nutritious food for up to 300 staff at the world leading research facility.

BaxterStorey will continue to provide all day café services, breakfast and lunch, serving The Pirbright Institute employees with a variety of freshly-prepared meals and snacks made from locally-sourced produce. In addition, the expert chef team will create energy-fuelled working lunches for corporate meetings, as well as mouth-watering buffets and tailor-made feasts for special events.

A range of initiatives and street food style pop-ups from the company’s Food Development Team will feature in new seasonal menus, including Healthy Me, a concept that allows staff to substitute unhealthy snacks with wholesome, nutritionally balanced alternatives such as naturally sweet beetroot brownies. Kansas inspired BBQ meats and gourmet hotdogs from BaxterStorey’s Rib Shack and Hound Dog pop-ups will also be provided - proving healthy eating doesn’t have to mean compromised taste!

Graham Olds, Regional Director at BaxterStorey, said: “It’s a real privilege to have been appointed as The Pirbright Institute’s hospitality provider for a further three years. This reflects the close working relationship we have with our client team and our understanding of their business, which enables us to deliver a truly bespoke service.

“We believe our innovative approach to foodservice, local sourcing and using seasonal ingredients will continue to make a real difference to its staff. We can’t wait to introduce even more of our BaxterStorey food initiatives and pop-ups, which we hope will be just as popular.”

Dr Mike Johnson, Director of Capability at The Pirbright Institute, said: “We are delighted to be extending our contract with BaxterStorey. We have always been really impressed with the tailored approach that has continued to be updated and enhanced, particularly the focus on employee wellbeing and BaxterStorey’s commitment to providing nutritional meals using local produce.”
