Chaiiwala opens sixth site

Chaiiwala, a street food cafe franchised chain, has just opened its sixth site in Deane Road, Bolton, its first in the north of the country.

The outlet, which will create 10 new jobs, seats about 30 people and also provides parking for customers.

Described as an ‘Indian Starbucks’, the new venue will offer Indian teas and a variety of light snacks and sweet treats.

Sohel Seedat, who will be running the branch with brothers Omar and Usman Ahmed, said the chain prided itself on its distinctive Indian tea, which is very hot, milky, sweet and spiced.

The cafe will serve up Indian snacks like spicy chips, samosas and a range of chapatis with a twist, that come with Nutella, and honey glaze.

Chaiiwala began as a takeaway in Leicester and now has six outlets across the east and west midlands, also including Derby, Birmingham and Peterborough.
