BaxterStorey welcomes record number of graduates

BaxterStorey has once again welcomed a record number of graduates onto its Momentum Graduate Programme. Twenty ambitious young professionals have kicked off their nine-month long journey with the hospitality specialists, selected from over 550 original applications.

Graham Eveleigh, head of skills and development at BaxterStorey, said, “The ever increasing popularity of our graduate programme is reflected in the variety of roles on offer alongside the prospect of real responsibility and future promotion.

'With our graduates joining from all across the UK, our training academies are renowned for their tailor-made programmes, producing some of the most acclaimed and skilled professionals in the hospitality sector.

“We are extremely excited at the prospect of 20 talented, future leaders joining our business and developing their skills over the next nine months”.

The programme will see the graduates exposed to all areas of the business, blending on the job training and mentoring with classroom coaching. The Momentum Graduate Programme provides university leavers with an intense and varied introduction to the world of hospitality.

From supporting the sales teams with new business mobilisations to ‘field to fork’ supplier visits and working with BaxterStorey’s chefs, the course provides the ideal introduction to a fulfilling career. This year’s programme has seen the graduates take on roles in operations, sustainability and supply chain.

Marianne Philippou graduated from the programme this year and now works as a General Manager in Birmingham. She explained, “I had the opportunity to experience roles across BaxterStorey, from the kitchens to front of house, operations and supply chain. The course was varied, with the hands-on structure giving me lots of opportunities to develop my skills and learn my strengths and weaknesses in preparing for a role in management.”
