£60m Corbin & King to be to sold to Thai company

Restaurant, brasserie and luxury hotel operator, Corbin & King is reportedly being acquired by Thai company, Minor Hotels, which operates over 150 sites around the world, according to Sky News.

Sources said the deal valued Corbin & King at roughly £60m and would result in Chris Corbin and Jeremy King continuing as minority investors alongside Minor.

Minor Hotels is buying most of its stake from Graphite Capital, a private equity firm which invested £21m in Corbin & King in 2012.

The Wolseley is the largest restaurant in Corbin & King's collection, and opened in 2003 on London's Piccadilly, in the same year that Corbin & King was formed. The other restaurants include Colbert in Sloane Square, Fischer's in Marylebone and Brasserie Zedel, close to Piccadilly Circus.

Corbin & King has also expanded into the hotel business, opening The Beaumont just south of London's Oxford Street in 2014.
