Vital Ingredient sold out of administration with sale of 13 sites

The majority of London quick service salad and soup chain, Vital Ingredient, has been sold out of administration to FCFM, a privately-owned investment firm.

Rob Harding and Dan Butters of business advisory firm Deloitte were appointed administrators and they struck a pre-pack deal straight away with FCFM.

Vital Ingredient operates 20 made-to-order salad and soup bars in London, mainly based in the City and around Soho.

This sale includes 13 of the 20 outlets, with the remaining seven closing today, resulting in 74 redundancies from the 250-strong team.

The seven sites that are closing are as follows: Baker Street, Berwick Street, Garlick Hill, High Holborn, Houndsditch, Margaret Street and Middlesex Street.
