Revolución de Cuba to debut in West Midlands

This spring, Revolution Bars Group will open its first Revolución de Cuba in the West Midlands, investing £1.1m in the Birmingham bar and bringing the current portfolio to 15 across the UK.

The Revolución de Cuba brand is driven by premium Cuban rums, tropical cocktails, a food menu which takes inspiration from across Latin America along with live music. The new Birmingham bar will look to employ approximately 80 people from the city when it opens at the end of March.

Located in the former Birmingham Law Library on Temple Street, the 112-cover, two floor property features a 1940s Cuban-inspired, vibrant interior reflecting the brand’s classic Havana style, with authentic fans, velvet curtains, chandeliers and vintage furniture. The ground floor includes a traditional bar counter, antique tiles, rattan chairs and decorative railings, whilst the first floor bar retains the former library’s original bookshelves and large skylight.

Myles Doran, Commercial Director of Revolution Bars Group, commented, “We look forward to bringing rich Cuban culture to this vibrant city and turning up the heat Havana-style for everyone to enjoy. We’ll be welcoming and training nearly 80 new team members and investing around £1.1 million to ensure the first Revolución de Cuba in the West Midlands hits the ground running.”
