Sodexo earns highest marks in sustainability for eleventh straight year

Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life services, has reinforced its position as one of the most sustainable companies in the world by earning Gold Class distinction in RobecoSAM’s annual Sustainability Yearbook 2018.

For the eleventh consecutive year, Sodexo was ranked as the top-scoring company in its sector for its excellent sustainability performance, scoring 78% compared to an industry average of 39%.

This recognition reflects Sodexo’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (“SDG’s) which underpins the company’s Corporate Responsibility roadmap, Better Tomorrow 2025.

Better Tomorrow 2025 consists of nine robust commitments designed to reinforce the culture of responsible behaviour throughout Sodexo’s business and address the company’s important role in tackling the global issues of acting for a hunger-free world, improving gender equality and preventing food waste.

These nine commitments are fully aligned with the SDG’s and each commitment has a measurable objective allowing Sodexo to constantly monitor progress.

Each year, RobecoSAM, a leading asset management company focusing on sustainability investing, publishes The Sustainability Yearbook, the world’s most comprehensive publication on corporate sustainability performance. Over 3,500 of the world’s largest companies are invited to participate in the annual RobecoSAM Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).
