Norwich pubs partner with Great British Beer Festival Winter

Pubs across the city of Norwich are putting on a number of events for the Fringe Festival, a celebration of local beer and pubs throughout the month of February to coincide with the Great British Beer Festival Winter, the sister festival of CAMRA's flagship festival in Olympia.

Each of the participating pubs boast a good range of ales and will host a social event for visitors, ranging from pie and porters pairing to tap takeovers and meet the brewer evenings.

The Great British Beer Festival will be promoting each event with a ‘Treasure Trail’, which will provide keen pub explorers the chance to learn interesting facts about each venue as well as the chance to win a bundle of beer worth £100.

Kicking off the week of the Great British Beer Festival Winter will be a beer and fine dining experience, in which a selection of local brews will be paired with a three-course evening menu by local Beer Sommelier Cheryl Cade and the head chef of the Maids Head Hotel.

Ian Stamp, Fringe Festival organiser, said, “I am delighted that over 20 pubs across Norwich are coming together to put on events to celebrate beer. This is a great opportunity to show of the finest local pubs and brews to both locals and visitors alike and the perfect lead up to the Great British Beer Festival Winter.”

The Great British Beer Festival Winter will be taking place from 20-24 of February at the Halls in Norwich.
