Jamie Oliver Enterprises to sell two Barbecoa sites

Jamie Oliver Enterprises has appointed Christie & Co to sell its two Barbecoa branded sites in London's Piccadilly and St Paul's, as part of an ongoing review of the group and its operations.

The steakhouse restaurants were meant to be joined by a third branch in the Nova development in Victoria, but it was never opened.

The news comes after creditors approved a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) restructuring plan for Jamie’s Italian, which will see the closure of 12 sites.

The restaurant group said in a statement: “We are pleased to have received the overwhelming support from our creditors for our proposal to reshape Jamie’s Italian restaurants. We have a strong brand and are focused on continuing to deliver the levels of service, taste and the experience our loyal customers deserve.

“We are working hard to ensure that our estate is fit for the current trading environment and we feel confident that this newly shaped business will provide strong opportunities for growth and profitability.”
