Ahi Poke opens fourth site next month in City of London

On 7 March, Ahi Poké will be celebrating the opening of its fourth QSR outlet at the Bloomberg Arcade, in the City in London, with 50% off its signature poké bowls throughout the day.

Having first discovered poké during their travels through California, the three childhood friends, Jeremy Coste, Gabriel Cohen-Elia and David Bellaiche have brought a fresh outlook on the traditional Hawiian fish dish, with flavours mapping Asia and the Middle East.

The menu, designed by Michelin-trained chef, Coste, is centred on sustainably sourced fish and vibrant, fresh vegetables from local suppliers in New Covent Garden Market.

The concise list of ever-evolving signature bowls includes a more traditional Hawaiian ‘Oahu’ with Ahi tuna, red onion, radish, carrot, fried onion and coriander on brown rice with Sesame Shoyu, which sits alongside the ‘Side Chick’ with brown rice, spicy chicken, burnt corn, edamame and spiced onion.

For the more rebellious of heart, there’s the option to create a totally unique poké, with a choice of a technicolour of ingredients from coconut sweet potato to kimchee cucumber and red cabbage, as well as seasonal sauces such as Green tahini or Sweet Ponzu.

Coste said, “We became obsessed with poké as soon as we tried it back in Cali – there were these bowls bursting with vibrancy and goodness that transport you straight to the palm trees and translucent blue waters of the Pacific. We could all do with a little more of that laidback Californian lifestyle.”
