Wilson Vale shortlisted for Company of the Year

The finalists for the 2018 Leicester Mercury Business Awards have been announced and Wilson Vale has been shortlisted under the ‘Company of the Year’ category.

The two other shortlisted companies are Meridian Business Park fleet management firm, Total Motion, and Leicester shoe and boot wholesaler, WBYS.

This year's black-tie awards evening takes place at the Maher Centre in Leicester on 12 April.

Andrew Wilson (pictured), co-founder of Wilson Vale, said, “To be in the running for the Company of the Year title is fantastic recognition for our entire team, particularly when it comes from our local business community.

“We chose to base our business in Leicestershire because of its great location with accessibility to the motorway network, rail and airports. Our investment in Leicestershire is on-going with a new corporate headquarters in Ashby currently under construction, an indication of our confidence in this vibrant region.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be named a finalist in this prestigious awards programme and have our ethos, passion and values recognised in this way.”

Andrew Wilson and Carolyne Vale established Wilson Vale in 2002. The Leicestershire-based company specialises in high quality catering, mainly within business and industry, independent schools and the conference venue sector. Wilson Vale currently employs 750 people and has a projected annual turnover of £33m for 2018.
