Deliveroo, the food delivery service, has collaborated with fried chicken connoisseurs Mother Clucker to bring customers the most delectable, indulgent and calorific Easter egg around - the deep fried creme egg.
The magnificent creation, the product of a ‘will it fry?’ test session in the Mother Clucker kitchens, is prepared using the same secretly spiced flour and buttermilk as the famous chicken strips.
There's also the deep fried caramel creme egg. Deliveroo customers will be receive the creme and caramel eggs as a pair from Mother Clucker, exclusively on the food delivery app as of Monday 26March from 4pm.
More than 200 eggs will be available free with orders from Mother Clucker, and demand is expected to be extremely high.
Joe Groves at Deliveroo said, “I think a lot of people are going to wonder how they go by without these. Once you’ve tried a creme egg deep fried there’s not really anywhere else to go in life, as a species we have surely peaked.”
Brittney Bean at Mother Clucker said, “We are relentless in our pursuit of things that will fry. In all honesty, this was the last thing we expected to work, but the end result is this spicy, chocolatey, crispy fried magic. You have to taste it.”
