JKS Restaurants to launch Brigadiers on 6 June

JKS Restaurants has announced that Brigadiers will open officially on Wednesday 6 June within the Bloomberg Arcade, in the City of London. Reservation lines are live from today.

An Indian barbecue restaurant and drinking tavern, Brigadiers will house two designated bars -Blighters and The Tap Room - as well as a Whisky Vending Machine, On-Tap Cocktails, Champagne and punch fountains, and one of the quickest pour pints in the City via fast-pour, self-serve beer taps.

These, along with the launch of the group’s own beer, 4th Rifles, will ensure that guests at Brigadiers will be there for the drinks as much as the highly anticipated food offering.

Showing live sport on screens throughout the seven-roomed venue, other theatrical additions will include a designated Pool Room available for the public to play whilst they eat and drink, and a specially designed card table in the Kukri private dining room.

Outside, a wraparound terrace with seating for 34 will offer a unique space for al fresco drinking and dining year-round, with beer and prosecco on tap alongside a selection of cocktails. A separate Terrace Menu will comprise Beer Snacks & Bitings, such as ‘Ox Cheek Vindaloo Samosas’, ‘Achari Chicken Skins’, and ‘Lotus Root & Puff Chaat’; as well as a selection of small plates, bun kebabs and Pao.

The menu in its entirety will be broken down into sections, ranging from the aforementioned ‘Beer Snacks & Bitings’; ‘Chhota Chatpata’; and ‘Anda, Rolls, Bun Kebab, Pao’ through to larger ‘Steaks, Ribs, Chops’, and ‘Rotisserie & Wood Oven’.

Signatures from across the menu include: ‘Chaat Masala Pork Scratchings, Cods Roe & Green Chilli Raita’; a ‘Tawa Masala Lobster & Shrimp Kati Roll’; Dry Tandoori Masala Beef Rib-eye Steak; and a ‘Sikandari Kid Goat Shoulder, Lacha Parathas, Lacha onions’.

The ‘Big Feast’ and the ‘Beast Feast’ set menus will encompass signatures alongside snacks, sides and condiments, showcasing the very best of Brigadiers, perfect for groups and sharing, with the ‘Beast Feast’ (available for pre-order) delivering a whole beast, such as a Goan Style Suckling Pig, served family style, for the table to enjoy.

On Sundays, Brigadiers will serve up Indian-inspired roasts, from 12-8pm. Large cuts including ‘Rotisserie Chargha Spatchcock Chicken’, and a ‘Whole Kid Lamb Biryani’ (for groups of 6 or more) will be placed centre of the table alongside traditional trimmings of achari masala roast potatoes, gajjar methi, malai palak corn, tandoori malai gobhi, raita, chutneys and pickles.

Throughout the week, live sport and ticketed events will ensure Brigadiers is a city hub dedicated to eating, drinking and socialising. A curated programme of events will kick off with FIFA World Cup screenings which will be aired in Blighters alongside drinking and dining packages. Other sporting events will be available to be aired on request in the private dining rooms and Pool Room at leisure.
