Innis & Gunn launches mango beer

Scottish Craft Brewer Innis & Gunn has released its most refreshing limited-edition beer yet with Mangoes on the Run, a Mango IPA that packs a fruity punch for the summer.

This son of a Gunn is loaded with Hercules, Citra and Simcoe hops and a mountain of mangoes. Mangoes on the Run reveals notes of citrus fruits and sweet mango on the nose, with a light and fresh flavour. The finish is silky smooth and balanced with a lingering hoppy bitterness and an ABV of 5.6%.

This latest addition to Innis & Gunn’s growing portfolio of IPAs follows the successful launches of the Session IPA and Gunnpowder IPA, which was released in a 330ml can format earlier this year.

Dougal Gunn Sharp, Founder and Master Brewer at Innis & Gunn said: “We wanted to create the perfect beer for summer, and our new Mangoes on the Run IPA is the fruitiest number we’ve ever brewed – packed with tropical flavours and fruity hops for a mightily refreshing beer.“

For those in Scotland, Innis & Gunn’s award-winning Beer Kitchen bars in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee are getting people behind the tropical vibes of Mangoes on the Run throughout June. Every Saturday there will be a tropical party night, which includes a £50 bar tab for the worst Hawaiian shirt. There will also be midweek ‘Mango Massaoke’ nights, with live bands playing classic hits with lyrics on the big screen for the crowd to sing along to.

Mangoes on the Run is available in 330ml can and on draught in The Beer Kitchens and select bars throughout the summer. The 330ml can is currently available online at www.innisandgunn.com, in Sainsbury’s and Morrisons stores nationwide, and will be listed at all 900+ JD Wethersoon pubs from September.
