Foodbuy MD named on CIPS Procurement Power List

Oliver Cock, the Managing Director of Foodbuy, has been named on the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply’s (CIPS) inaugural Procurement Power List, which recognises the 30 most influential people in procurement in the UK & Europe.

The list was revealed at an exclusive event in London and recognises the leaders who are pushing procurement and supply chain strategy forward, making a positive contribution to the reputation of the profession through the value to their own organisations and the work they do to raise the profile of the profession more widely.

Oliver Cock, Managing Director of Foodbuy said: “It is a privilege to have been named on the CIPS Procurement Power List alongside some exceptional business and industry leaders. I’m extremely proud to represent Foodbuy and would like to thank my team for their hard work and commitment in driving our business forward. I am firmly of the belief that we are delivering a game changing approach to food procurement.”

Foodbuy was launched in 2016 and brings together the widest range of foodservice and hospitality clients to buy food, and everything associated with it. Under the leadership of Oliver Cock, the business has grown its managed spend to over £1billion and has recently been awarded a major contract by the Department of Health to purchase food for over 150 NHS Trusts across the UK.

Oliver Cock said, “It’s an exciting time for Foodbuy but it’s also an exciting time to be working in procurement. At Foodbuy, it’s the combination of our scale, expertise, transparency and technology that means we’re able to deliver commercial results for our clients, but the procurement profession in general is really moving forward and demonstrating the impact it can have within an organisation.”
