Orrery set to celebrate Bastille Day with exclusive dinner

On Saturday 14 July, Orrery, the French restaurant in the heart of London's Marylebone, will celebrate Bastille Day with a one-off dinner, drawing influences from across L’hexagone, in tribute to France’s national day.

On arrival guests will be greeted with a celebratory glass of Moët & Chandon to toast le 14 Juillet, before being seated on Orrery’s south-facing terrace.

Once the sun goes down, a four course menu will be served from Chef Patron Igor Tymchyshyn with dishes including Salmon Ballotine with Citrus, Dill and Fromage Blanc and for the main event, a classic of French cuisine: Boeuf En Croûte and Pommes Purées, with a rich truffle and Madeira sauce.

Orrery’s celebrated cheese trolley will then make its way from table to table, with guests taking their pick from farmhouse cheeses before a dessert of Fresh Strawberries with Meringue, Chantilly Cream and Sorbet. Matching wines from the vineyards of France and beyond will accompany each course, picked out by sommelier Nicola Perrone.

Chef Patron, Igor Tymchyshyn said, “There is nothing quite like Bastille Day in France – people celebrate with family and friends, enjoying fireworks, parades, delicious food and fine wine. This year, we wanted to re-create some of that celebratory atmosphere in Marylebone and pay homage to the great country and cuisine that inspires Orrery.”
