Rockfish set to triple sites in next four years

The Rockfish Group is planning to expand its Devon-based chain of five seafood restaurants to about 15 sites over the next four years.

Headed up by chef-restaurateur Mitch Tonks, the company has already earmarked four new sites, some of which will be new builds or developments.

One of the new restaurants is the 100-cover Exeter Quays site, is both the first new-build restaurant and their first location away from the coast. The fresh fish will still be delivered on the day, which is a key unique selling point for Rockfish.

Beyond traditional fish and chips, dishes include Chargrilled Spencer Gulf King Prawns with Old Bay Seasoning, Chargrilled Calamari Steak, Fried Soft Shell Crab Roll, and Fried Scottish Langoustine Tails.

Sides include Green Beans with Shallots & Rosemary, Roasted Tenderstem Broccoli with Chilli Sauce, Fried Pickled Onion Rings, and Jalapeño Slaw.

Rockfish was crowned at the Seafish UK National Fish & Chip Awards 2017 as Best Multiple Operator and also garnered a Good Catch Sustainability Award.

Beyond the growing Rockfish brand, Tonks also owns his flagship seafood eatery, The Seahorse Restaurant in Dartmouth.
