Fourth makes high-Octane acquisition

The UK’s leading hospitality operations platform, Fourth has acquired digital people solutions company, Octane, to help its customers save time and money spent on recruitment and onboarding.

Household names such as TGI Friday’s, Las Iguanas, Fitness First, Casual Dining Group, Cafe Rouge, Bella Italia, La Tasca, and Gordon Ramsay Group all form part of Octaine's ‘client club’.

The collaboration will completely digitise the entire people and talent management process, while ensuring Right-to-Work compliance and a fully branded experience for applicants to immerse them in the company culture from day one.

This deal will bring together the leading digital experts in the recruitment field, alongside Fourth’s workforce management gurus, to help the industry tackle the challenge of finding and recruiting quality talent quickly and efficiently.

The streamlined platform automates lengthy manual employment processes, such as communicating with prospective candidates, sharing notes from interviews, filtering the best candidates and arranging interviews. It also ensures all required documentation is present and correct, and managers complete all steps required by following a customisable approval workflow.

This addition extends the Fourth platform to provide complete management of the employee lifecycle – from recruitment, onboarding, HR and scheduling, to employee engagement and payroll. Importantly, it also streamlines the job application experience for candidates, ensuring that the whole process is easy and totally on-brand.

The platform will be fully branded for Fourth customers, allowing hopeful candidates a seamless integration into the brand’s values from the outset. In keeping with new GDPR regulation, all data, such as photographs of documents and addresses, will be securely held remotely, rather than on manager phones – significantly reducing timely processes and the risk of large fines.
