The Savoy welcomes new executive chef

Five-star London hotel, The Savoy has appointed Fabrice Lasnon as its new Executive Chef. Lasnon’s investiture coincides with a new direction for The Savoy and a season of new appointments across its passionate and talented Food & Beverage team.

French-born and trained, Lasnon’s culinary journey has taken him across the world, where he has brought his distinctive flair and wealth of experience to luxury hotels and resorts including Royal Mirage in Dubai, Kempinski in Istanbul, and Marrakech’s La Mamounia.

Having most recently headed up the kitchen at The Murray in Hong Kong, Lasnon is returning to London for the first time in over twenty years to take up this high-profile role at The Savoy.

Bringing 30 years of experience to The Savoy, Lasnon is keen to introduce fresh ideas while still respecting the hotel’s legendary history and tradition.

Before introducing his signature-style, Lasnon will begin his appointment by spending time to understand every aspect of The Savoy; its culture, what it means to people, and what guests expect when they enter this world-famous hotel.

Believing strongly in the importance of local ingredients and supporting the finest British producers, he aims to bring the very best that the United Kingdom has to offer to The Savoy.

This autumn, Lasnon will be implementing subtle changes across the food offering throughout the hotel including the launch of a new breakfast menu and a refashioned in-room dining offering. He will also oversee the launch of the new Bill of Fare in Simpson’s in the Strand following the recent appointment of chef de cuisine, Adrian Martin.
