Meraki to launch Sunday Feasts

On Sunday 28 October, contemporary Greek restaurant, Meraki, will celebrate the autumn with the launch of Sunday Feasts.

Meraki opened its doors on central London's Great Titchfield Street in summer 2017. One year on, the team are thrilled to be extending their vibrant menu in this celebration of the most leisurely and sociable meal of the week.

Created by Chef Patron Athinagoras Kostakos, Sunday Feasts celebrates the Mediterranean, family-style cooking of his childhood. A contemporary Greek take on the Sunday roast, the menu is inspired by Sundays at Kostakos’ father’s thriving taverna in Athens, Vlaxika.

Designed to share, guests will be able to choose from Meraki’s legendary 1.2kg Celebration leg of lamb, slow cooked with lemon sauce and wild oregano, a Whole grilled sea bass with wild horta greens (market price), or Grilled spatchcock chicken served with mustard thyme sauce.

With each dish designed to share between 2-3, larger tables can choose to stick to one meat or mix and match. Suggested accompaniments include Patates with thyme and lemon, Burnt cauliflower with ‘staka’ Cretan butter, and Carrots, dill and orange zest.

To start, Meraki’s cold and hot mezze menus will be available, including favourites such as the Rosti Greek Style made with Crunchy potatoes, sunny side-up eggs, truffle and Cretan butter, and the Saganaki shrimps with ouzo and tomato.

Sundays are finished as they would be in Greece, with Meraki’s signature desserts including the likes of Loukamades Greek doughnuts with mastic ice cream and toppings, or Bougatsa, a traditional crispy filo pie filled with semolina custard, milk chocolate caramel.
