Novikov to mark Frieze opening with cocktail masterpieces

As Frieze London, one of the biggest and most influential contemporary art fairs in the world, is set to open in Regent’s Park, Novikov Lounge Bar’s talented mixologists – artists in their own right – are marking the occasion with a quartet of liquid masterpieces.

Jonathan Yeo, whose work Dennis Hopper no less describes as “timeless and exquisite”, is honoured with not one but two creations: Falling Skyes, a vision in Bulleit rye, Crème de Châtaigne, lemon juice, blackberries and truffle bitter, and How Do You Feel? (pictured) with its potent mix of Johnnie Walker Gold, Chestnut Liquer, Picon & bitters.

To celebrate Tracey Emin's talent, the mixologists have created Soft Caresses, with Chase vodka, chambord, vanilla syrup and egg white.

Finally, there’s not a pickle in sight with Novikov’s tribute to Damien Hirst. Although you may be hard pressed to remember the title - The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Something Living – you certainly won’t forget the taste, a sublime fusion of London No.1 gin, Sauvignon Blanc, Italicus and Blue Curacao.

This fine exhibition of libations will be available in the Lounge Bar from 4-7 October.
