Spar UK has revamped its Silverbrook Water range with bottles made of up to 51% recycled plastic – a move that demonstrates the SPAR Partner’s commitment to tackling plastic pollution and being an environmentally responsible retailer.
A first for the convenience market, Spar UK’s eight-strong still and sparkling water range also has a new label design to provide a fresh and contemporary look, and to communicate the recycled plastic content.
Cath McIlwham, Head of Brand at Spar UK, said, “As ethical and environmental concerns are growing, using recycled material not only reassures our customers but also demonstrates how committed we are to being an environmentally responsible retailer.
“We will save almost 130 tonnes of plastic every year with the changes we’ve made to the packaging. We are confident this initiative will be a huge success for our retailers,” she added.
Already a successful range, the revamps to the water range will ensure that sales continue to grow and show the Spar Partner’s ongoing commitment to protecting the environment.
