Hotel Indigo Cardiff named Best Boutique Hotel in Wales

A Cardiff hotel is celebrating after being named ‘Best Boutique Hotel’ at the Welsh Hospitality Awards.

Hotel Indigo Cardiff, which is operated by the UK’s leading independent hotel management company – RBH – took the crown thanks to votes from the public.

The accolade was presented at the ceremony, held at the Exchange Hotel Cardiff, in front of more than 200 elite professionals who had gathered to recognise the growth of the Welsh hospitality industry.

The Welsh Hospitality Awards acknowledges the commitment of Welsh professionals and businesses who are dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Hotel Indigo Cardiff, which is situated in the Welsh capital’s city centre, boasts 122-beautifully decorated bedrooms highlighting three recurring themes – ‘Made in Wales’, ‘Welsh industries’ and ‘music’. Each one reflects the heritage of the local area and beyond.

As well as offering guests a host of at-home luxuries, including free Wi-Fi, the property also caters well for food-lovers, with acclaimed chef Marco Pierre White’s famous Steakhouse Bar & Grill situated on the roof.

Tom Gaskell, General Manager at Hotel Indigo Cardiff, said, “We are thrilled to be named ‘Best Boutique Hotel’ at such a prestigious national awards ceremony – even more so because our win is thanks to votes from members of the public.

“This is testament to the ongoing hard work of the hotel team. Each and every one strives to offer guests a truly first-class service, whether they’re staying overnight or popping in for a coffee or a spot of lunch or dinner. We would like to extend our thanks to anyone who voted for us, and to each and every one of our guests who have contributed to the success of the hotel.”

A spokesperson for the Welsh Hospitality Awards 2018 said, “The Welsh hospitality industry has grown significantly over the years and this has introduced new challenges to the professionals who work within this sector. The customer expectations have increased, but the winners are the experts in meeting their customers’ needs and demands.

“The awards aimed to thank those who make a huge contribution to enhancing the country’s tourism and reputation, whose work often remains overshadowed. We would like to congratulate all winners and finalists for their amazing achievements.”
