Fairmont St Andrews launches Scotland’s only vegan & vegetarian sports bar


The five-star luxury hotel, Fairmont St. Andrews launched the Zephyr Sports Bar with an event.

The new Zephyr Sports Bar is a fresh take on the classic sports bar offering stylish surrounds in which guest can enjoy the biggest sporting events, along with delicious vegetarian and vegan food and drinks.

At the launch event, guests were invited to enjoy a first look at the new bar, sample sharable vegan and vegetarian cuisine alongside a range of vegan drinks including a stein of Zephyr pilsner, delicious cocktails, or a dram of malt whisky. They were also served dishes from Zephyr’s menu including Moroccan spiced falafel served with tahini Greek yogurt and green chili zhoug; sweetcorn & pepper sliders served with bbq jackfruit and warm sourdough with mushrooms, hazelnuts with tarragon and Dijon Pâté.

The attendees included sports stars represented by Red Sky Management, such as Scottish Olympic Medalists and World Champion Curlers, Team Muirhead, including Eve Muirhead, Vicki Chalmers, Jennifer Dodds, and Lauren Gray,

Other sports stars included Ryan Grant, British and lrish Lions and Scotland Rugby International; and from Scotland Rugby International, Rowen Shepherd, Rhona Shepherd, Roly Reid and Ruaridh Jackson. Also in attendance, Sammi Kinghorn, World Champion and World Record Holder Wheelchair Racer, and Eilidh Doyle, Scotland’s most decorated athlete.
