WH Smith has opened its first ever fully licensed Costa, at The Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.
The high street retailer hired design and installation company, RDA to transform the existing Proud to Serve Costa within the hospital into a fully licensed Costa, which is operated under franchise by WH Smith.
All equipment was Costa specified and included: a Merrychef oven, undercounter fridges, microwaves, water boiler, coffee machines, upright fridges and multi-decks.
The interior fit-out was based on Costa’s brand and specification with a modern and vibrant look and feel and state-of-the-art equipment.
Installation involved a complete remodel including the removal of equipment from the existing cafe. The result is said to be a fresh and contemporary space located in the hospital’s main entrance, ready to serve the thousands of patients, staff and visitors.
