Mowgli Street Food to open in Leicester next month

Indian restaurant chain, Mowgli Street Food is set to open its doors in St Martins Square, Leicester, on 12 August.

Founder and TV presenter, Nisha Katona said, “Leicester was the place to which we travelled on a family day out to buy bright plastic mugs, mad floral melamine plates, spices, incense and Indian vegetables. It was the bright lights big city in terms of Indian food.”

Mowgli has found exactly what it’s looking for; a quirky, cool and bohemian district. Katona continued, “We welcome our guests as if they’ve just stepped into our living room. It’s not a hushed dining experience, it’s all about the smash and grab of addictive flavours.”

Boasting a fresh and fuss free home kitchen, the Mowgli experience features an extensive vegan menu of Indian food, pared back and unplugged. Katona added, “Our food is fresh, light, delicate and extremely healthy which are not words the UK would ever associate with “curry”. The selection of dishes feed that yearning Indians have for bright intense rich flavours.”

Recently awarded Sunday Times Fast Track 100 best management team, Mowgli street food is set to open two more restaurants this year, in Cardiff and Bristol.
