Adventure Bar Group to launch 9th site this week

The Lost Alhambra, the 9th site for the Adventure Bar Group portfolio, is to launch on 11 October in central London. The site at 28a Leicester Square was secured by Shelley Sandzer.

The new cocktail bar concept has been inspired by The Alhambra Theatre of Variety – a popular music hall open from 1854 to 1936, located at the site of the current Leicester Square Odeon.

Adventure Bar’s latest project has been designed by Finch Interiors and honours the former venue with its décor and theme – a reflection of a typical night of fun for performers at The Alhambra during its prime.

The Lost Alhambra adds to other concept bars in the capital managed by the Adventure Bar Group, including Blame Gloria, Adventure Bar Clapham Junction, Adventure Bar Clapham High Street, The Escapologist, Bar Elba, Nikki's and Bar Hercules.

Signature cocktails will include: Lemongrass Collins - lemongrass-infused Eristoff vodka, Licor 43, fresh lemon juice, ginger beer, vanilla, Violet Femme Coupe - Bombay Sapphire gin, violet liqueur, fresh lemon juice, sugar, egg white, Parma Violets, and Plum Sake Negroni - Bombay Sapphire gin, Campari, plum Sake.

Tom Kidd, Co-Founder of Adventure Bar Group, commented, “Each of our bars is different – we work hard to ensure that wherever possible we build a concept based on local history, and the site at Leicester Square is a great example of where we have been able to do this.

'Shelley Sandzer secured a site that works perfectly for our brand, and we look forward to The Lost Alhambra bringing debaucherous times back to this prime central London location!”

Etai Page, Leasing Agent at Shelley Sandzer, added, “In an incredibly competitive market, Adventure Bar Group manage to offer something unique with each new venture.

'The site we found for them at Leicester Square is drenched in history, and The Lost Alhambra concept is a great nod to this. We are proud to have played a part in bringing something so fun and exciting onto the market.”
