Food Attraction sees 57% sales rise of street food snacks

Food Attraction has today announced that its multi-award winning on-the-go street food brand, Jake & Nayns has seen 57% sales growth over the last financial year.

The revelation follows a wave of retail wins across the industry as retailers have snapped up the family business’s unique offering of street-food-inspired snacks, including its flagship Naanster product and the recently launched Burritos range - seeing its store listings quadruple!

To meet demand and to cater for further expansion, founders and brothers Jake and Naynesh Karia invested a seven-figure sum into the business, which enabled the company to purchase the surrounding factories and land around HQ.

The brothers also made significant hires, including Jonathan Rons who will look to grow the brand’s forecourt and independent channel offering and Danny Abello to grow the wholesale business.

Veganuary has seen the launch of a new vegan Naanster SKU, which is available in Sainsbury’s. The new Chickpea Naanster is completely vegan, catering for the ever-growing flexitarian and vegan community in the UK.

The vegan Chickpea Naanster follows on from the success of the brand’s vegan Jackfruit Burrito launched in stores earlier this year.

Then, later in 2020, the brand will disrupt the category further by adding to its hugely successful repertoire of curry filled naans with the launch of a special edition, mega-hot Naga Chilli Naanster.

Jake Karia, Managing Director of Food Attractions, said, “The last year has been phenomenal – we’ve seen significant growth across the business, launched a new Burritos range and won five significant industry awards but we’re not stopping there.

“The whole team has a passion and enthusiasm for food, which has driven us to continually innovate and develop new products,” Jake continues. “We are on a mission to shake up the category, bring new consumers into retail outlets and debunk the myth that food on the go is wholly bad for you, proving that there are satisfying, quick meals out there that aren’t full of fat, sugar and salt.

“We have massive growth plans for 2020, including significant NPD launches, some limited edition flavours and more expansion for the business,” Jake concludes. “Keep an eye out for us as ones to watch this year!”
