Bobo Social makes return to London next month

Bobo Social is making a return to the capital and will reopen in Elephant Park, London SE17 on 10 February.

Having previously been housed on Charlotte Street until 2019, Bobo secured a legion of loyal followers who will now once again be able to get their Bobo fix.

Founder Mike Benson created Bobo around his three favourite ingredients; great food, great drinks and most importantly fun! However, it does so with a conscience – central to Bobo’s philosophy is being kind to the planet meaning sustainable and seasonal ingredients from the very best suppliers take centre stage.

The menu at Bobo is a selection of everything we all love to eat but given its own Bobo personality. A hat trick of burgers includes its infamous Peanut Butter Burger (Rare-Breed Beef, Buttermilk Bun, Cheddar, Maple Cured Bacon, Peanut Butter, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Bobo Sauce) alongside two others, Capsicum Burger (think spicy) and Sweeter than Meat (for vegan lovers).

Small Plates range from the classic Crispy Fried Squid through to the more adventurous, such as weekly changing Exotic Meatballs and Braised Lamb Croquettes - a refreshing change from ‘ham and cheese’.

For those wanting their protein fix, premium steaks are available courtesy of esteemed South London Butcher, Flock and Herd and are lovingly cooked in their charcoal oven using lump-wood coal and single species wood to bring out the best of the meats flavour and succulence.

A taste of the sea is bought to the menu by Marrfish who’s own fleet of fishing vessels ensure they have unrivalled access to the best fish which they handpick daily, appearing on the Bobo menu as ‘Market fish of the Day’. A trio of desserts ensure you leave Bobo with a sweet taste, the highlight of which is the House Chocolate Truffles on a bed of Grand Marnia Honeycomb.

For drinks, Bobo highlights include the Bourgeois Bohemian cocktail collection that celebrate the non-conformist and creative values within Bobo’s DNA - perhaps best conveyed in The Bobo, a hedonistic mix of Hendricks Gin, Champagne, Elderflower Cordial and Blackberry.

For something a little kinkier then opt for the Koko Bobo (Ron De Jeremy Spiced Rum, Malibu, Orgeat and Lime Juice). For those wanting to tow the line then then The Classics will appeal from a Cosmopolitan to a Negroni no one’s excluded. A curated selection of craft beers and global wine is also on offer.

Finally, for those in search of a pimped dessert then the Dessert Cocktails are an intoxicating way to end your Bobo experience, be it a Salted Caramel Martini (Vanilla Vodka, Baileys, Home-made Salted Caramel Syrup or Apple Crumble in a Glass (Apple & Cinnamon Infused Bourbon, Vanilla, Amaretto, Apple Juice, Crushed Digestive Biscuit) indulgence is never a crime.

Central to the Bobo Social menu are Mike’s food and drink suppliers which he personally audits to ensure they boast ‘Good Earth’ credentials. Successful finds to date include London-based and family-run cheese supplier, Carron Lodge, and the Sustainable Spirits Company that creates high quality, environmentally friendly spirits available in eco pouches to constantly refill their silk screen ‘bottles for life’.

Toti Rum is a particular favourite, inspired by its spiritual home, The Caribbean, with 15% of all profits are donated to marine conservation charities to protect the turtles and the seas they swim in.

Opening in one of London’s most exciting emerging hub’s Elephant Park, this is an exciting new chapter for Bobo Social.
