Buzzworks Holdings reveals phased reopening plan

One of Scotland’s leading independent restaurant and bar operators, Buzzworks Holdings has announced the phased reopening plans for its portfolio of twelve prestigious venues across Ayrshire and beyond – and the reservations diary is now open.

Buzzworks will be staggering the reopening of its venues over a three week period, as hospitality businesses across Scotland have been given the green light to begin trading once again.

First to reopen on Wednesday 15 July is Buzzworks’ flagship Ayrshire venue, Vic’s & The Vine in Prestwick, alongside Lido Troon, Scotts at Largs Yacht Haven and Scotts South Queensferry at Port Edgar Marina.

Reopening from Wednesday 22 July is Scotts at Troon Yacht Haven, The Coach House in Bridge of Weir, The Mill House in Stewarton, The Corner House in Kilwinning and The Tree House in Ayr.

In the final phase of Buzzworks’ plan, The Duke and The Long House in Kilmarnock and Lido Prestwick will reopen from Wednesday 29 July.

Guests can expect Buzzworks reputation of world-class hospitality in a relaxed environment to continue in all venues as they reopen, alongside the adaptations made in line with the latest government guidance.

Managing Director Kenny Blair said, “We are delighted to announce our reopening schedule and make steps to finally welcome our teams back to venues and guests back through our doors.

“The team have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure all venues will provide a safe and secure environment that safeguards the health and wellbeing of both our customers and colleagues.

“In recent weeks we’ve been operating a takeaway service from select venues and we’ve been overwhelmed with the interest and uptake. We’d like to thank everyone for their continued support during this difficult time for our business.

“It’s humbling to recognise the fantastic community network we’ve built in local towns where we operate and although it has been a difficult time for all, we are looking forward to once again providing fantastic food and a world class service within a safe and welcoming environment.”

Some of the new measures that have been brought in to provide peace of mind for customers include reduced capacity in venues, enabling limitless contactless payments, enhanced hygiene protocols with visible sanitiser stations and upskilling teams with specific reopening training. Menus will also be single use, but can also be viewed online by scanning a QR code on a smart phone in venues.

As locations reopen, guests will see many Buzzworks favourites returning to the menus, alongside delicious new and improved dishes curated by Chef Director Trevor Garden and the senior kitchen team.
