Itsu chain discusses restructuring options

East Asian-inspired fast food chain, Itsu is reportedly exploring restructuring options as the pandemic climate continues to pile pressure on the out-of-home dining sector.

The group, which was founded in 1997 by the Pret A Manger co-founder Julian Metcalfe, is putting insolvency on the table, according to the Times.

Itsu bosses are working with advisory firm AlixPartners on its options, which could include carrying out a company voluntary arrangement (CVA).

Itsu serves up healthy, Asian inspired food, freshly made everyday across its 77 outlets.

The group also has a grocery range, available in M&S, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Co-op, Ocado and Waitrose.
