OCS wins 5-year deal at new £100m National Football Centre

Contract catering and facilities management group, OCS has won a lucrative five-year deal with the Football Association (FA) at the newly opened £100m National Football Centre in Burton on Trent.

The contract will see OCS deliver catering, front of house, security, cleaning, mechanical and electrical services at the 330-acre site. The group will also create a sustainability park, including an allotment which will generate produce for the catering operation from beehives, composting and recycling areas.

Martin Gammon, managing director for OCS Group UK, commented, 'Our contracts at sites such as the KIA Oval, the NEC and now St George's Park demonstrate our capability in supporting leading-edge sporting and leisure facilities.'

The complex is used for all coaching and development work by the FA and includes 12 world-class outdoor pitches as well as a full-sized indoor pitch, as well as hydrotherapy suites, biomechanic training gyms, coaching suites and sports science facilities. Also, Hilton Worldwide has opened its first dual-branded UK property at the centre, offering a 142-bed upscale Hilton Hotels and Resorts hotel, and the budget 86-bed Hampton by Hilton.
