New 4,500 sq ft Sainsbury’s c-store opens in Oxfordshire


The newest store in the Sainsbury’s estate has officially opened its doors, offering customers in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, a convenient choice of quality food.

The new convenience store was officially opened by local Member of Parliament, Victoria Prentis and offers an excellent range of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, a fresh bakery and a Costa coffee machine, as well as other convenience products. The store has created 15 jobs and will trade from 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday.

Sainsbury’s Local in Upper Heyford will play an active role in the local community and the convenience store will also support Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes.

Victoria Prentis MP, Member of Parliament for North Oxfordshire, said, “Today marks a major milestone in the development of Heyford Park. This is a growing community and it’s wonderful to see the community get the investment and services it needs to thrive. This new store brings convenience and jobs to Upper Heyford and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate this exciting day with the local Sainsbury’s team.
