D&D London supports children’s free meals this half term

D&D London and CEO Des Gunewardena (pictured) are proud to be amongst hundreds of hospitality businesses lending their support for Marcus Rashford and his tireless work surrounding the government’s decision to stop children’s free meals this half term.

Across four flagship restaurants, in partnership with local councils and The Felix Project, D&D London will prepare and provide hundreds of meals for local families in need.

Participating restaurants are as follows:

Bluebird Chelsea
Working closely with The Felix Project, Bluebird Chelsea led by Alexander & Björck’s Head Chef Henry Osborn, will be preparing 100 freshly cooked meals daily to half term programmes including holiday and youth clubs, food banks and community projects.

Alongside this, the restaurant is also working with local primary schools and St John’s Church to deliver 50 meals per day, directly to people’s homes.

Radici, Islington
Francesco Mazzei and his kitchen brigade will also be working with the Felix Project to deliver 50 meals from Radici to programmes and schools including Lea Valley and Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground.

German Gymnasium, Kings Cross
Also in collaboration with The Felix Project the popular Kings Cross restaurant will prepare 150 meals Thursday & Friday this week.

20 Stories, Manchester
Back in Rashford’s home city, 20 Stories will be joining other local businesses to provide 200 meals to programmes helping those in need.
