Provisions launches hampers, kits & wine cases


Provisions Wine & Cheese on Holloway Road in north London has released an exclusive new range of hampers, featuring their artisan produce plus fondue and raclette kits and cases of organic and natural wines imported from small suppliers across Europe.

There is a gift for every budget and palate, with hampers ranging in price from £30 to £100, each including an array of exceptional wines, cheeses, cured meats, tinned goods and biscuits.

The premium Provisions Festive Hamper includes a range of delights to create an extra-special gift. The hamper includes two bottles of premium wine, the Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise from Santini Collective in Burgundy and Originelle, Methode Traditionnelle sparkling wine by Yves Duport in Bugey, and Normandy Camembert by Ferme St Loup.

It also includes: Duck rillettes from Maison Argaud, Sweet artisanal Okina biscuits from the French Basque country, Evo extra virgin olive oil from Puglia, José Gourmet tinned fish, Saucisson Sec from Mayte in the French Basque, a tin of Gordal olives and Jose Carrot and Orange jam from Portugal.

For those who want to explore the flavours of the Basque region, there’s the Basque Hamper, containing Arto Gorria Polenta, native to the Basque country, Ossau Iraty French Basque sheep’s cheese, Saucisse sèche with espelette chili, Okina biscuits and Black Cherry jam from Délice du Mousquetaire.

The Sweet Tooth Hamper is perfect for those who prefer sweet to savoury, and includes a bottle of Hidalgo Pedro Jimenez Sherry, Les Confituriers du Morvan jam from Burgundy, Summerdown Dark Chocolate Peppermint fondants, Goulibeur butter shortbread from Poitou in France and a bar of Land chocolate; single origin chocolate focusing on beans from different parts of south America.

Francophiles dreaming of a winter escape can bring a taste of the French Alps home and indulge in Provisions’ fondue and raclette kits, designed to be shared between two. The Fondue Kit comes with Provisions’ house fondue mix, 10cl of white wine, bread cubes, a garlic clove and a recipe card containing a recipe and instructions, plus there is option to add a bottle of Altesse by Yves Duport in Bugey in the Rhône-Alpes.

The Raclette Kit consists of 600g of raclette and morbier cheeses and a 300g selection of fine, artisanal French and Italian cured meats. No special equipment is required for cooking, you can simply use your regular pots and pans, however Provisions also sell fondue and raclette sets for those keen to go the whole Alpine hog.

Provisions has also put together a variety of wine cases, available for nationwide delivery, which explores wines from lesser known regions, peppered with some better-known favourites.

The wine cases include the Confidently Single Hamper showcasing an assortment of single grape variety wines, including a white Muscadet Clos Perruad, Moulin Camus, from Loire, France; Chardonnay Vom Kalk, Marcus Altenburger, from Burgenland, Austria; Mas du Chene, Marche Arriere from Nimes in France; Napoléon, Clotaire Michal, French Beaujolais and Spanish El Marciano, Alfredo Maestro, from Castile and Leon.

The Provisions 6 Premium Bottles Mix contain a selection of rare and harder to find wines from their cellar, including 1 sparkling, 3 reds and 2 whites, priced at £150, which changes monthly; and the Off Piste Wine Case; priced at £115, which offers a selection of 6 versatile wines produced in the mountains.
