Sugoi JPN launches Japanified delivery & takeaway concept

Creators of the Under One Kitchen project and award-winning food concept brand, Sugoi JPN have kickstarted the new year with the launch of their new delivery and takeaway concept, Japanified.

Inspired by Japan’s food capital, Osaka - also known as 'Japan’s kitchen', the talented team of chefs have taken popular international urban dishes, flavours, cultures and traditions, and Japanified them.

Available to collect from the Sugoi's South Wimbledon cloud kitchen (and Hackney site soon), or via Deliveroo, the menu features a variety of sliders, sides and the star of the show; Blue Corn Taco FIY Kits.

Blue corn is predominantly grown in Mexico, and is a healthier alternative to white corn due to its higher nutritional value, through using less starch and more protein. The naturally colourful and preservative-free corn is a staple of New Mexican cuisine and is commonly used to make tortillas.

Japanified's Blue Corn Taco Kits come with 8 tortillas and freshly prepared Japanese fillings - all you have to do is fill it yourself! Fillings include:
Tuna & salmon sashimi with kimchee sauce
Glazed chicken karaage
Vegan beef with tonkatsu sauce & kuromame beans
Asado negro beef with kuromame beans

Japanified’s bun sliders come with four fillings including wagyu with chimichurri, soft shell crab tempura and vegan sweet potato korokke. Additional sides include fried chimichurri gyozas, chicken wings, Japanese coleslaw and Takoyaki. The latter translates to ‘octopus fried' and are particularly popular on the streets of Osaka, where the dish originated.
