Jollibee to invest £30m in 50 new UK outlets by 2025


Filipino fried chicken chain, Jollibee has revealed plans to invest £30m in opening 50 sites in the UK by 2025, with six new outlets opening in the next six months.

The fast food giant has proved to be hugely successful in parts of South East Asia, and opened its first UK branch in London in 2018, which saw people queuing for 18 hour to sample the food.

Having trialled delivery food in Liverpool and Leicester over lockdown, Jollibee is now set to open outlets in Leeds, Cardiff, Reading, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle in the next six months.

Adam Parkinson, vice president for Jollibee in Europe, told i News that the group has ambitious expansion plans well beyond 2021, and Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Brighton, Exeter, Norwich and Southampton will follow next year.'

Jollibee, which has over 1,200 sites across the globe, serves up classic fried chicken pieces and traditional burgers, as well as spaghetti in tomato sauce and rice bowls covered in beef patties with mushroom gravy.
