Mark Emms & Tom Kerridge announce Bad Vegan to open 24 June

Today, Bad Vegan announces it will finally open its doors on Thursday 24 June in Camden’s eco-friendly Buck Street Market and has shared a first look at the menu.

Ran by brand creator Mark Emms (pictured left) and renowned chef Tom Kerridge (right) and team, the predominantly plant-based menu has been designed to offer dishes which are accessible to all.

The 800sq ft open-plan terrace restaurant will feature over 60 covers for dining in, with over-the-counter takeaway options and click and collect available too.

All main dishes will be 100% plant-based, where guests can choose the option to select a non-vegan topping or side if they decide not to go down the plant-based route.

Menu highlights include The Taternator – a crunchy potato finger wrapped in soft tortilla, with fillings of 'vegan cheese and onion with a toasted sesame salad;' 'pickled jalapeños, Queso sauce and crispy onions ' or 'non-vegan Cheese and Bacon.'

Pizza-inspired Streetdough Flatbreads will also be made fresh and sustainably in the kitchen daily, using leftover yeast from Bad Vegan’s own Session IPA in collaboration with Camden Town Brewery. Flavours include a Smoky Aubergine Baba Ganoush, Roast Mushrooms with Black Truffle.
