Burger King announces new franchise deal with Parkdean Resorts

Burger King has secured a franchise deal with Parkdean Resorts, the UK’s leading holiday park operator.

Parkdean has recently invested £3.6m in one of Europe’s largest holiday park, Trecco Bay Holiday Park, which will be the location of the brand-new Burger King site.

The new Burger King restaurant is part of a major makeover at Trecco Bay, as one of Parkdean’s seven ‘Parks of the Future’, and is set to open in August this year.

The new restaurant has created 20 new jobs for residents in the local area of Porthcawl, South Wales, and customers will be able to enjoy Burger King favourites, such as the Whopper and newly launched Vegan Royale.

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO of Burger King UK, said, “We’re excited to welcome a new franchisee and look forward to the partnership ahead of us. It’s brilliant to see expansion within the hospitality industry after what’s been a trying time, and we wish the best of success to the Trecco Bay Holiday Park venture.”

Steve Richards, Chief Executive of Parkdean Resorts, said, “We’re always looking to improve our food and drink offer, and Burger King opening at Trecco Bay will be a great addition for our guests on park to enjoy.

“We know how important the park is to the economy in Porthcawl and take our role as a major local employer very seriously, so we’re pleased to be able to provide more jobs for the community.”

The new restaurant at Trecco Bay showcases Burger King’s updated, modern restaurant design roll out and offers Burger King’s commitment to premium ingredients, signature recipes, and family-friendly dining experience.
