Riding House Café to launch Greatest Hits Menu to mark 10th birthday

This September, Fitzrovia’s Riding House Café is to launch its Greatest Hits Menu, created by executive chef Henry Omereye in celebration of its 10th birthday.

Having opened on the junction of Riding House and Great Titchfield Streets to critical acclaim in Summer 2011, with the restaurant widely attributed to pioneering all-day dining within London, the Greatest Hits menu is a celebration of Riding House Café’s most popular dishes and drinks over the past decade.

Specials on the menu include those which were available on opening day alongside more recent favourites, with Omereye putting his own spin on each dish to take guests on a journey through the evolution of Riding House Café, whilst ensuring original influences remain.

Dishes on the birthday menu include the decadent Lobster Lasagne, originally introduced in 2012, and served with a grilled lobster claw perched on top of a molten cheese crust, the indulgent Eggs Hussard and the Squid & Chorizo Salad, one of Riding House Café’s very first small plates.

Omereye’s take on a Beef Wellington will also join the menu, seeing prime native breed fillet encased in duck liver and golden puff pastry and served on a bed of porcini cream.

Joining older favourites will be Henry’s Salt Cod Fritters, taken from the Soul Ride menu which the restaurant served over lockdown and accompanied by Omereye's homemade Bajan pepper sauce.

Dessert will be Riding House’s stalwart; the Hot Cinnamon Doughnuts - served with a pot of molten chocolate for dipping.

As equally known for their drink offering, three limited-edition cocktails will also be brought back by Bar Manager Antonio Del Monte, as part of the Greatest Hits Menu.

Originally introduced for London Fashion Week in 2014, the Borat-inspired Mankini Martini combines vodka and thyme-infused Lillet Blanc and elderflower. There's also the return of the much-loved Gin Gin Situation which comes with crushed watermelon and mint.

Additional drinks on the menu include the Cacao Nib Latte, introduced during Soul Ride, and the Sunshine Mary, a healthier spin on the 'hair of the dog' favourite, seeing Citrus-infused vodka blended with Golden heritage beetroot, yellow cherry tomatoes, carrot, celery and horseradish.

For those unable to attend in person, there will also be the opportunity to purchase a Riding House at Home feasting box featuring a selection of the Greatest Hits, to feed two people and delivered nationwide.
