Montagu Arms launches new Courtyard Deluxe Rooms & Studio Suites

Located in the heart of the New Forest, The Montagu Arms has announced the opening of five new luxury Courtyard Deluxe Rooms and Courtyard Studio Suites, with a further four due for completion in late October.

The set of nine stylish rooms, developed within the original 1920s chauffeur garages, reside around a central Courtyard Garden, and embrace the tranquillity of nature.

Outside and inside flow together to create a harmonious layout connecting the natural surroundings of the outdoors with timeless interior design inspired by the flora and fauna of the national park.

Each complete with a spacious lounge area, oversized freestanding bathtub and private terrace, these are spaces designed for couples and families to enjoy peace and relaxation.

For the ultimate exclusive group getaway, book all the new rooms and suites and enjoy the entire courtyard in privacy, the perfect setting for an al fresco dinner party.

Textured fabrics, scenic artwork and furniture have been sourced from an array of British and local brands with sustainability in mind, from 100% British wool throws form the British Blanket Company and beds from Hampshire-based Millbrook Beds to bespoke artworks from local Hampshire artist, Aimee Durnell.

Suites are spacious, between 46 and 51m sq, and come as open plan or with classic separate bedroom and lounge areas.

Striking features also include vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams and contemporary four poster beds, whilst plush marble bathrooms comprise a large free-standing bath, walk-in shower, and double marble vanity sinks.

A complimentary decanter of seasonal gin is placed in the room for guests to enjoy at their leisure, alongside a Nespresso machine, mini bar, 52”TV, Bluetooth digital radio, and full size SenSpa toiletries to take home post your stay.

James Hiley-Jones, Managing Director of The Montagu Arms, commented, “We are delighted with the opening of our new Courtyard Rooms and Suites and think the launch of additional accommodation has come at a perfect time with the continued surge in staycations.

'Having been developed in the original chauffeur garages which reside around a courtyard, we believe it is a great use of original space and embraces outdoor and indoor living through the glass fronted design and private terraces.

'We also felt it incredibly important to use local, British and sustainable luxury brands when dressing the interiors, in keeping with the hotel’s values and history. ”

Gourmands can enjoy delicious fine dining at the award-winning three AA Rosette Terrace Restaurant, where Executive Chef and New Forest born Matthew Whitfield creates elegant dishes using organic seasonal produce from the surrounding Hampshire countryside, alongside ingredients hand-picked from the hotel’s bountiful kitchen garden.

Come evening, guests can choose from a range of dishes from the new four-course menu or, for the full experience, opt for the seven- course tasting menu with paired wines.

For those looking to dine in comfort or for a romantic night in, guests of the Courtyard Rooms and Suites will be able to order a Hampshire produce hamper to be enjoyed from the luxury of your private lounge.

The Montagu Arms welcomes four-legged friends in the Courtyard rooms and suites and has partnered with sustainable pet brand Beco Pets to offer pups an ethically sourced hamper of luxury treats and pet products, including a rope toy and food bowl.

A one-night stay in a Courtyard Deluxe Room starts from £381, inclusive of breakfast and use of the health club facilities at sister hotel Careys Manor & SenSpa in Brockenhurst.
