Funds secured for Wingstop UK expansion


Lemon Pepper Holdings, the UK master franchisee of US chicken wing fast food chain, Wingstop has secured a multi-million-pound debt facility from Barclays.

Since it lauunched here in 2018, eleven Wingstop outlets and nine delivery-only sites have been opened,- the latest being in Bromley, and the new funding will help faciliate the continued roll out of the brand.

There are already places earmarked for the next Wingstop venues including: Brighton, Trafford Centre in Manchester, Nottingham, and Wood Green. Also, Bristol and Leeds are set for new delivery-only sites.

Paddy Bamford, chief financial officer of Wingstop UK, commented, 'It's great to partner with a bank who were able to offer us a bespoke financing solution and could see the potential for the brand in the UK market.'
