Provenance Inns secures new site


North Yorkshire based pub company Provenance Inns, is set to open their sixth site after buying the freehold of the former Black Bull Inn, in the village of Moulton, near Richmond, North Yorkshire. The pub is set on 1.3 acres and is a renowned food-led pub with facilities including a spacious bar, kitchen, parking facilities and accommodation.

Provenance Inns, which is by Michael Ibbotson who co founded the company with Chris Blundell, currently operates five other sites- The Durham Ox, Crayke, The Oak Tree Inn, Helperby, The Carpenters Arms, Felixkirk, The Punch Bowl, Marton cum Grafton. The Carpenters Arms will re-open in July this year after ten new bedrooms have been added.

Ryan Lynn, who handled this sale for Christie + Co reported the pub was sold above its asking of £300,000.
