Kirsty Berry promoted to Head of Estates at Travelodge

Kirsty Berry has been appointed as the Head of Estates at Travelodge.

This appointment follows the recent acquisition by the budget hotel group, which operates nearly 600 hotels, obtaining 66 hotels from its landlord in a £210 million deal announced last week.

Under Berry's leadership, her team will drive Travelodge's expansion initiatives and take charge of various aspects, including asset management, rent reviews, service charges, business rates, lease renewals, and landlord approvals.

Kirsty Berry became part of the company in 2022, initially serving as the Regional Estates Manager. Prior to her role at Travelodge, she gained experience in sublet deals and lease regears at Domino's UK and Majestic Wines.

Steve Bennett, chief property and development officer, Travelodge, said: 'We are delighted to be promoting Kirsty to the position of head of estates, as she has proven to be integral to the recent success of the estates function. Kirsty's industry expertise and experience represents a significant benefit to Travelodge as a business, and she has already played a crucial role in the growing and improving estates management team since joining in 2022.'
