First opening in Cheshire for Bravo Inns

Warrington-based Bravos Inns has bought The Crown Inn on Senhouse Street in Maryport town centre, Cheshire, which will be reopened as the Thomas Henry.

The pub is being named after Thomas Henry Ismay, the Maryport-born owner of the White Star Line. It is currently undergoing a £150,000 refurbishment after being closed last December.

Mark Dean, operations director at Bravos Inns, said, “We see Maryport as a great opportunity and we are aware the town has a great history to it.”

Bravo Inns now owns 33 pubs around the north west of England and is led by managing director, Ken Buckley, with backing from private equity firm Albion Ventures.
