Richoux Group profit increase will aid expansion


The Richoux Group has reported an increase profit and turnover for the 28 weeks to 14 July 2013. Profit for the interim period rose to £800,000 from £620,000 during the same period in 2012, while turnover increased 13.5% to £5.84m from £5.14m, year-on-year.

The company operates 16 restaurants and also announced it intends to focus on expanding its Dean’s Diner 1950s outlets (pictured) and Zippers American restaurant brands.

Dean’s Diner has four sites in Chatham, Port Solent and Braintree, and Fareham, with a fifth due to open in Bicester in early November 2013. Zippers has two sites in Chatham and Port Solent.

The firm also operates two further brands: Villagio, the Italian family brand that has six sites in Andover, Basildon, Hammersmith, Berkhamsted, Chislehurst and Chiswick. Richoux all-day cafés and brasseries is the oldest brand, founded in 1909, and has four London sites in St Johns Wood, Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Piccadilly.
