The Dorchester Collection reveals record growth


As reported by The Guardian yesterday, The Dorchester Collection has reported a 5% increase in revenue in 2012 to £304.5m, a record figure for the company.

Operating 3 highly sought after hotels in London- The Dorchester, 45 Park Lane and Coworth Park- the company said that the newest addition to its portfolio (45 Park Lane) which opening in early 2012, was the main contributor for the significant growth. The hotel alone reported UK revenue of £106.6m in its first full year or trading.

The group, which is owned by the Sultan of Brunei, now has a portfolio of 10 hotels worldwide. Its revenue over the past 5 years has grown 17.4%.

Despite operating profits in the UK growing to £15.5m, the company’s one hotel in Milan and two in Paris reported a loss of £1.3m.
